Recognition and Affiliation

After due inspection, by both Govt of Orissa and
Medical Council of India the college and hospitals were
granted permission by the medical council of India in the
year 2005.
The M.C.I recognition continues under Utkal
university affiliation also. |

Every student
shall undergo a period of certified study extending over
4 ½ academic year from the date of commencement of his
study from the subject comprising the medical curriculum
to the date of completion of the examination followed by
one year compulsory
rotation internship |

The first twelve months shall be occupied in the study
of phase 1 (preclinical subjects) and no student shall
be permitted to join the phase II (paraclinical) group
of subjects until he has passed in all phase I
preclinical subjects. |

After passing preclinical subjects 3 ½ years shall be
devoted to clinical subjects. During the first 18months
of this period paraclinical subjects will be taught with
the clinical subjects collaterally. |

Candidate admitted to MBBS course forfeit their seat
incase they fail to completely pass the MBBS course
with in a period of 3 years from the date of admission. |

ACADEMIC TERMS
The academic terms shall commence on or about September of
each year. Admissions to MBBS shall be done only once in a
given academic year. |

ATTENDANCE
The candidates are normally
expected to attend all allotted work period (both theory and
paraclinical/clinical) in such of the prescribed subjects.
They should attend 80% of total number of classes conducted
in each of the subjects to be eligible to appear for the
examination in that subject. |

The principal will notify the attendance details at the end
of the each term without fail under intimation to the
university. The vice chancellor is empowered to condone
shortage of attendance not beyond 5% |
|
|
| |
The candidate lacking in the
prescribed attendance and progress in any one subject in
theory and practical and clinical in the first appearance
shall not be permitted for appearing in the qualifying
examination |
