The Department of PERIODONTIA deals with the supporting tissues of the teeth Periodontitis is a chronic inflammatory disease affecting the supporting tissues of the teeth. It forms one of the most common causes of tooth loss among Indian populations. This branch of dentistry deals with all measures that could be done to prevent, cure and treat the disease. So as to enhance the longevity of the tooth  

 As per the oral saying, “ PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE”, Every patient entering our department is made to be aware of the correct oral hygiene measures by education and motivation of the patients. They under oral prophylaxis thereby eliminating the plaque and calculus which forms the primary etiologic agent for peridontitis.
